Brookhaven Paper is a static editorial site. No user registration, login, or account system exists. The site does not use tracking pixels, advertising networks, or third-party analytics by default.

Standard web server access logs may record IP address, browser type, referring URL, and timestamp as part of normal server operation. These logs are held by the hosting provider and are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

2. Cookies and Local Storage

The site stores a single preference key in browser localStorage to record whether the visitor has acknowledged the cookie notice on the home page. This value is stored only in the visitor's browser and is never transmitted to any server.

3. Contact Form

The contact form on the home page is a client-side simulation. Data entered in the form is not transmitted to any server or stored anywhere. The form is provided for demonstration purposes only. Visitors wishing to make contact should note that submissions do not reach the publication team via the form.

The site contains links to external websites including Wikimedia Commons, Two Sides, and Paper Online. These sites operate under their own privacy policies. Brookhaven Paper has no control over and accepts no responsibility for the content or data practices of external sites.

5. Images

Images are loaded directly from Wikimedia Commons servers (upload.wikimedia.org). When your browser loads these images, Wikimedia's servers may log the request. Wikimedia's privacy policy is available at foundation.wikimedia.org.

6. Children

This site is not directed at children under 16 and does not knowingly collect information from minors.
